Post your homemade attachments. Built a crane for my skid steer. Machine is rated around 2500 lbs load, 5000 lbs tipping. Mast is three stage telescopic. Has a lifting eye at the tip for slings, or can be used with a winch with the pulley at the tip.
Looking to build a boom pole to put on my skid steer. Has anybody ever made on that telescopes? I know there are hydraulic ones made, but they are quite expensive.
I thought a boom pole/crane would be handy to lift suplies onto the roof, pick stuff up, etc. Aside from the skid steer plate (bought it new), this was all scrap and stuff laying around the shop. I painted it today - pictures were before painting. Ive built a boom mower and a direct drive rotary style brush cutter. Start with graph paper and measure twice before welding. 1. Skid Steer Quick attach build. 2. 8' square tube welded onto skid steer attach point. 3. 2 1/2" x 48" hydraulic cylinder. 4. 5' square tube inside the 8' square tube. 5. attach hydraulic cylinder to both square tubes. 6. paint and live happily ever after.
I built a grapple utility bucket from components for a utility grapple bucket originally designed for small skid steer loaders that our company produces. I built my own quick attach plates after getting the top clevis and JD dealer.
