The rear wheels will just skid. If skid, they can easily skid the tractor sideways, and you can end up rolling it downhill sideways, with hopefully you buckled into the seat and not flung underneath the tractor. See if the wheels on that side free spin when off the ground. It could be the drive motor, gearbox. If they both rotate when you spin one tyre, the chains are still ok. I have searched on the forums but can only find where one side (both wheels) or the other will not drive on a 753 Bobcat. My problem is the left front tire will stop turning when it gets into a bind but the left rear wheel still spins (recently found while plowing snow). I have a John Deere 250 series skid steer. The left front wheel seems to be turning under power, but the rear wheel doesn't seem to have power to it. It causes the loader to pull/drift. I need to fix . read more

To confirm, yes I have moved the bucket into the "dump" position so this is not a matter of travel. If it won't lift the front end, then probably you have a lift cylinder seal that is leaking internally. You could verify this by putting the bucket flat on the ground and then move the joystick to dump.
