Howdy, curious if anyone has experience loading a skid steer or mini ex up onto a 4' high flatbed. I have a flatbed dump on the F800 which makes that bed sit pretty high. Occasionally I have a portable sawmill job and need to bring my bobcat t740; it would be awesome to do it in one trip.
I want to build a set of steel loading ramp's to put my 9000lb tractor onto my deck over trailer which is approx 32" high. Any suggestions as to what size material to use. Thanks My ramps are similar to Shield Arcs but made out of 2" square tube with 2" angle cross members. The leg going down is 3" channel. I would hazard a guess that Shield Arc didn't build his ramps. The leg is important as it prevents lifting force on the coupler.

Four foot ramps should be fine if you back on and drive off, though I would be a little leary of driving up them without the bucket. Test it slowly. I personally prefer mine longer, more like 5 1/2 feet depending on the style and height of the trailer deck.

I mean you know this. But those 25k machines are legit machines. Ive kicked around the idea of a Chinese mini excavator or skid. But for that amount of money you are running the risk of buying a 5k paper weight. They are 13hp machines I think. That is so crazy underpowered. I get not wanting to spend the money. I'm a cheap ass too.
