I have a 2006 CAT 277B (CAT0277BCMDH04755) with about 2,000 hours on it. It's always cranked right up and run strong. A couple weeks ago I had been using it for about 10 minutes (wasn't cold outside, probably 50) when it started bogging down on throttle (felt like the tracks were stuck in the mud) and then it blew a small amount of white smoke . If your Cat skid steer is not starting, this is the place that you should check first. The main reason is that if these connectors get loose or lose their effectiveness due to dirt build up then the vehicle will not start. Check out the connectors and give them a thorough cleaning. #1. So per the cat dealer, I have replaced the T in the top of the tank the complete transfer fuel pump assembly, new filter, etc., and the fuel rail. 1. Locate CONN 1 & CONN 2 on the machine and disconnect both of them. (You do not have to worry about CONN 12 just yet because it connects to an accessory you do not have). 2. Disconnect connector J2 at the ECM. 3. Disconnect the 2-pin connectors at all three solenoids. 4. Check for continuity as follows. All wires will be Yellow: -

If you have a skid steer that won’t start, it could be due to an issue with the circuit board. The circuit board is responsible for controlling the electrical components of your machine, such as the starter motor and fuel pump.
The proper fix would be contacting your nearest cat dealer to get an ecu and update software to match your skid.
