What is a 1830 Case skid steer worth that doesn't run? Its a late 70s model. Last summer it was running wierd. The RPMs were surging and then couldn't keep it running. Hydraulics work good, tires are 75% and the bucket is good. I have a guy pestering me to sell it to him as is but he only wants to give a 0. I told him iron price is higher . I have 2 1835Bs, gas and diesel. I refuse to own any other skid steer. If I need something bigger I will get a small wheel loader.

We have a 2010 Case 440 series 3 with 3000 hours on it that we bought new. It's used 365 days a year to load feed and do other dairy stuff but probably only averages 10 minutes of running at a time (a ton of starts and stops and no idling ). I have been renting New Holland LS150's and I liked them, but I have found a 1990 1845c with 2800 hrs. They are asking ,900. the tires are 90% and it comes with a set of logger tracks. The dealer claims that this is really the best series Case ever built, claim that the 4-390 engine is bullet proof. Blew a head gasket on my skid steer. This is a Continental engine made in France (used in Renault cars) with an aluminum head. Got a new head gasket from Napa. Does anyone know the torque specs for the head? thx.
