I was going to do the same as you, run all hose, but then I found out how little clearance there was to run the lines down the boom to the couplers. You can make up your own control linkage and wet lines from aftermarket sources. I would suggest you just buy the parts and spend the bucks. Screwing with your control valve can get damn expensive.
