I had never heard of high flow on an 1838 and as Alrman pointed out, I am not sure you would gain much if it was even possible. Those machines including the 1840 and 1845C will run attachments of course but they only made around 15-16 gpm at regular aux flow.
I'm not finding any reliefs stuck open, but will check the cables. Skid loader was not sluggish at all when it quit working. I've attached some pictures of the u-joint that runs to the pumps, and the 3 pumps that have been all checked over.
