I rented a SK800 for 7 days this morning. I was SHOCKED by how underpowered the machine is. It bogs and turns off constantly. The SK650 has a turbo so i'm used to 32 HP. Over the course of 4 hours of run time, I counted 52 times that the machine turned off. Does anyone have any experience with the SK1050 or SK1550. Are these machines better .
If it can pick up a pallet of pavers or if you're in one of the urban markets where they sell the smaller pallets of sod/pavers you'll love the ditch witch. We use our big MTL on projects probably 5-8 hours/week vs 5-8 hrs a day for the sk 755/650s we have. Hi All - My sk650 is setting off the hydraulic fluid overheating alarm at about 20-30min of light operation. Machine was just fully serviced, and I cleaned the radiators to make sure dirt buildup wasn't the culprit - fan is working fine as well
I'm planning to order an SK1550 soon. I was thinking of getting a 60" smooth bucket for bulk material, final grading, moving firewood, and snow. I was also going to get a second 48" toothed bucket for digging and rough grading. I'm in the North East with rocky soil.

My last machine was an old ditch witch 650 so I demo’d the new 1050 and I did like it but. Dingo feels stronger and has better dealer support. Both are great machines, but I ended up getting the toro 1000 wide track. The maintenance is simple and it is lighter than the ditch witch and stronger IMO
