I bought a new 1840 Case many years ago and it did not have auxilary hydraulics. I bought a kit from the dealer to add it on but sold the machine without it. It may not be called a control valve, but it is the hydraulic valve that controls the raising and lowering of the bucket, tlilt, etc. Because of the cost of a new one, I would like to attempt to rebuild the one I have. I was told the spool valve is shot. 1/ lift the cab hook a LED test light across one of the aux solenoid coils with enough lead to reach the in to the cab with the back in its lowered position operate the machine and check the status of the test light if it comes on while operating the . 3/ The hydraulic pins for engaging/locking the attachment also don't work when its stuck in this state 4/ Other auxiliary hydraulics still work (these are the small lines typically for opening/closing the gate on the forestry mulcher) - I believe these .

My current pump works fine, EXCEPTwhen running an open front brush cutter, which is one of my main reasons for wanting a skid steer.
