Hi everybody, Same machine, 2008 262C cat. The quick attach hydraulics decided not to work today. When I first got this they seemed to work fine. I unlocked and re-locked the bucket several times. Today I was trying to attach my new forks and I could not get them to work. I can see the main lock hose move when I try to lock them. Just purchased a 2008 289c with quick attach. When using a GP bucket and loading weight on the tip or attempting to back drag, the bucket pops off of the quick attach. It looks like the pins slide up as if the springs are unable to hold tension on the pins.
I have a 299D2 that when I try to use the electric quick coupler to try to release my attachment it makes a chartering sound and does not retract the pins. I tried switching the relays didn't make any difference. A user asks how to fix a coupler that does not fully disengage without a hammer. Another user suggests disassembly and inspection for possible fouling, corrosion or bending.

Has anyone ever have a problem with caterpillar hydraulic quick connects? I cant get one of the bucket pins to release. I can see the actuator move about 75% and just stop.
The problem is when I uncouple and attachment the ram does not work. It's like it's stuck and won't move to uncouple the attachment. I keep it greased and it seems to work better (grease the fittings once a week).Customer: I have a Cat 259D compact tract loader with electric quick-connect attachment coupler. The electric motor for the coupler has failed. The wire has pulled out of the motor. I have been told that the motor cannot be replaced, thus requiring the entire assembly/actuator coupler to be replaced. Is this correct?
