I do not have any heat in my cat 256c skidder. I have check and have power at . The first issue is that you piggy-backed on to a thread titled "252B no heat". . SOme characteristics would be , just what you are describing . Heat then no heat. To bleed the air out of the system . Make sure the radiator cap is the highest point of the loop. Put the skid steer on ramps or park on a hill. Maybe the cap is already the highest point. Several months ago, my CAT 247B starting running rough. Priming it would help for a minute or two, but then the problem would return. This machine will not start when the temperature falls to the 20's or below - the glow plug cold assist switch does not help.
