i have a 2004 Mustang 2044, great little machine, simple to operate and repair. i would join heavyequipmentforums.com and do a search on the 2109. ive read quite a few horror stories about the 2109. do afew searches online first.Up to the 2054 size the Mustangs are still Mustang designed.Above this size they are almost identical to a Gehl except for the Boom(stronger and much higher lift ratings on the arms than a Gehl).Plus Cummins and Yanmar powered instead of Duetz in the Gehl.IMO the hand and foot control option on these is not set up properly.The stalks are WAY to far reward and make . Cat had pilots since they built their skid in 1998. Cat is another model I would give a go, anything but a damn Deere. The amount of energy necessary to refute b.s. is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it I think it would be a big mistake if Gehl dropped the Takeuchi CTL machines because in my opinion Takeuchi makes one of the best. Only thing I dont like with Takeuchi is no dealers around me. One thing I think Takeuchi needs to do is also make a skid steer. They have to be loosing a good bit of market out there because they only make CTL's.

I have found that although it has the same engine as the m-610 Bobcat the Mustang does lift more, and can turn with more load without stalling. My experience has been good, and it's a rock-solid machine. Most parts that wear are standard bearings, and clutch plates. chains and such. Never needed to go to the Mustang dealer yet. I need a skid steer for back fill and moving dirt around the job . I had a bobcat753 but wanted a new s175 with heat & cab . lately i have seen some really nice used skids for sale .I was looking at a used mustang 2041 (4600lb)with 115 hours? 13100 asking price .It looked new . I sold my 753 for 10000 and it had 3700 hrs. Drive the skid steer off the trailer forward facing, drive around in an S turn, do a 360 full rotation turn and back up the ramps WITHOUT leaving the operator's seat or using a spotter to guide you and just go back up. Do that 10 times in a row, over and over, 10 times. Simple as that. Get that on video and I'll leave it be.
Just bought one. Oakes mfg. oakes north dakota. 16 hp onan twin. 2 belt driven hydraulic pumps. about 1750 lbs. with bucket. I am having a hard time finding information on this skid steer. any info you have would be appreciated.
